Rapeseed fields and bluebells

Last Sunday the sun peeped from behind the clouds for a few hours, and I could finally go out with my camera to capture some beauty around town – rapeseed fields around Chipping Norton, stormy skies, and bluebells in the woods. Enjoy!

Feeling a bit homesick after seeing your fabulous photos. I especially like the 3rd shot of the bluebells in the wood.

Lovely photos, reminds me of my childhood growing up in the UK.

Hi Christina,

Lovely post! Just wanted to say that I absolutely love your blog, especially the entries on interior designing. You helped me find my style, which is a lot like yours, lots of white! My new house which I’m currently trying to renovate is a bit low on lighting, receiving mostly Northern light. Do you have any suggestions to make it as bright as possible?? Also, that wonderful pot plant with white flowers you had next to your white couch (here –> http://www.positivelybeauty.com/decorating-updates-an-interior-design-tip/), what do you call those flowers?! And where can I get it from? :) Much love from Australia.

Hello Nazreen,
Thank you for your kind words! The plant is a Phalaenopsis Orchid – see here

Regarding your new house: have a look at this post, and also at this post.
White walls and white furniture will maximise light, as well as reflective surfaces (tiles or light wooden floor rather than carpet). One good tip for maximising light is to place a large mirror on the wall just opposite your window: a simple but effective trick!

Best of luck with your decorating :)

Thanks Cristina! Much appreciated. We are thinking to go with white tiles, semi-gloss white paint, white sofas, timber furniture and lots of green pot plants. A bit stuck on carpet and curtain colour, but hoping that will fall into place. Thanks again for a lovely blog! :D xxx

Ps: Hope you can check out my fairly new, nutrition blog too. :)
