The Mini Masterclasses are extracts from my photography class Visual Storytelling 2: Photography and Editing Essentials.
They are designed for those of you who are already comfortable using a DSLR (or mirrorless) camera, and want to try their hands at one particular type of photography.
(If you’re thinking of purchasing all three mini masterclasses though, you’d be better off purchasing Visual Storytelling 2).
Each mini masterclass includes guidance on:
During class you’ll see me create the still life, and set up the backdrop, flowers and other props. I’ll talk about the camera settings and equipment I use, and finally you’ll see how I edit the photograph with Lightroom to bring my vision to life.
The mini masterclasses are self-paced. Lessons are grouped into 2 weeks, with videos, class notes, and prompts to help you practice.
The video lessons for week 1 are the same for each mini masterclass, and cover natural light, composition, backgrounds and props.
The video lessons for week 2 are specific for the type of still life – bright, moody, flatlay.
You can start learning immediately, and you will have access to the class for 12 months.
You will need:
Please note: even though I will talk about the camera settings I use for each type of photographs, I’ll assume that you already know about exposure, f-stops, shutter speed, and other essential photography knowledge.
“I recently enjoyed Cristina Colli’s Mini Master Class for Flatlay still life photography.
The length of each lesson was perfect, and kept me engaged.
I really liked the printable PDF document of notes already made for me. All I had to do is possibly add an extra note or two, but the highlights of each lesson was already written out for me. How easy is that!
I learned so much and was so inspired. After each lesson, I jumped up immediately and began playing with Flatlay possibilities. I believe I created some of my best work ever while going through Cristina’s Mini Master Class.
The depth of Cristina’s instructions has satisfied the questions I began with, and helped me grow and expand my skills at Flaylay still life photography.
Cristina’s Mini Master Class helped me reach another photography level goal. Success!” – Kim Kafton
